ELISA Bovine ITIH4

Detect problems of health and poor welfare in your animals with high sensitivity testing ITIH4. Acuvet ELISA bovine ITIH4 is a species-specific, sensitive and reliable test to determine this biomarker in bovine using basic equipment (ELISA reader).

Do you want to have better control of the on-farm animal health and welfare?
Do you want a tool to assess the state of health and well-being of the herd in an objective way?
Do you want to determine with confidence the level of bovine ITIH4?
Do you want a sensitive method that allows you to analyze this biomarker in milk?

HOW DOES IT HELP YOU?

Bovine ITIH4 is a biomarker for the diagnosis and monitoring of infectious or inflammatory processes in cattle. It shows a slower but more protracted response than haptoglobin. Thus the combination of both biomarkers allows detecting health problems and lack of well-being in the herd with great sensitivity. Acuvet ELISA is a species-specific, sensitive and reliable test. It allows measuring ITIH4 not only in serum but in milk where its increase is indicative of mastitis

TEST PRINCIPLE

Acuvet ELISA bovine ITIH4 is a sandwich-type ELISA based on a monoclonal antibody (capture) and peroxidase-labelled poclyclonal antibodies (detection) specific for bovine ITIH4. The assay is calibrated with a bovine-specific internal reference material, as no international standard is available for bovine ITIH4.

TECHNICAL DATA

  • Bovine specific
  • Limit of detection: 13ng/mL
  • Working range: 14-460 ng/mL
  • Assay time: 120 minutes

Validations:

Internal validation: Development and Validation of an ELISA for the Quantification of Bovine ITIH4 in Serum and Milk. Soler et al. 2019.Vet Immunol Immunopathol. 217:109922.
