TEST PRINCIPLE
ELISA tests for detection of total aflatoxins are based on competition between aflatoxins contained in the sample and aflatoxins conjugated with peroxidase by joining to anti-aflatoxin antibodies to make antigen-antibody complexes. These complexes are detected by adding a chromogenic substrate, which reacts with peroxidase, making colour.
TECHNICAL DATA
- Application: quantification of aflatoxin B1 in food matrices.
- Assay Time: 2. 5 – 3 hours
- Detection Limits: 0. 2 – 1 ppb or 0. 03 – 2. 5 ppb depending on kit reference matrix
Validations:
Europroxima ELISA tests are internally validated according to European Decision 2002/657/EC.
